Welcome to Thrifty Zippers! My name is Laura and I am the face behind the wallets. My husband, Jeremiah, is the brains behind the whole operation. 

About 2 years ago we decided to follow a cash envelope system. Each month we pull out a lump sum of money for the month and divide it up between envelopes.  When we first started we used actual envelopes and by the end of the month they would be so worn out not to mention kind of embarrassing to pull out at a store! About 6 months in I finally found the wallet I had been searching for. It's perfect for the envelope system because it has 6 zippered pockets that very easily fit money or coupons. Also on each side you have your normal wallet qualities, credit card holders, license pocket and a check book holder. It velcro's shut and can always be cleaned due to the oilcloth.  I made the first one and carried it for about a year and a half.  Everywhere I go I would get compliments so I decided to start selling them.
